Hormagaunt mathhammer.

Got a little bored so wanted to crunch some numbers on hormagaunts with upgrades. So here are some hormagaunt units with different upgrades all totaling 120 points as that was the easiest unit value to do. It is also assuming your entire unit actually all make it into combat range. These are all with the hormagaunts assaulting things out of cover and vs things with lower init then 5. The adrenal glands obviously will preform better vs. things with init 5 or 6 and the gaunts with poison glands will wound things equally well beyond t5.

A gamers guide to getting your non-gaming girl to game

So my wife who has her own Necron army and WoW account wasn't always into games. In fact when we met she hated games. I get told how lucky I am to have a girl who will game with me. I figured I would put up a post about things I tried to get her interested in them.

For warhammer it was all about the painting. She liked the artistic part of the game. I let her look at armies and explained how they play and let her pick out one she liked and bought her some to paint. We then take the modeling and painting aspect as time together talking and assembling. Once she had some models assembled I set up small points roughly 200 and showed her the different phases against one of my armies. We did this just setting them up on the floor. Now she will come into my gaming store with me and hang out and watch and has even played some 500 point games with other people.

When we first started dating I had just started playing WoW she hated it and she hated me being on it. I bought a laptop so that I could play when I was away from home which I was a lot at that time being in the reserves and working security(which allowed me to use my laptop). One of my friends quit playing and had 4 months left paid. I asked her if she wanted to take over his account and use it to talk with me while I was away. I then made a new character and ran around questing with her. She started meeting people from my guild and used WoW as more of chat room then a game but all the same she played and leveled with me.

More then once I have asked her if she would want me to quit gaming. She after playing herself now says she would never ask me to quit something that makes me happy.
